David L. Fingold has been a key member of Dynamic’s value team since joining Goodman & Company in 2002 and is Portfolio Manager for Dynamic American Value Fund, Dynamic Global Dividend Value Fund and Dynamic Global Discovery Fund.

Prior to joining Goodman & Company, David worked for seven years sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities for a privately owned merchant bank. David has 18 years of business, operational and investment experience including senior positions in corporate finance, sales, purchasing and marketing in the manufacturing, transportation and distribution industries.

David’s keen interest in restructuring companies is the result of considerable professional experience focusing on businesses’ core competencies and running organizations to maximize free cash flow. Before entering the money management industry, David held progressively senior roles with Slater Steels Corporation. Starting his career in purchasing, David soon added other disciplines to his mandate and moved on to lead marketing, sales and logistics as Vice President Commercial. In this role, he was instrumental in transforming the business’ operating losses to profits. Extensive travel has fostered his interest in foreign markets and helped develop his ability to effectively navigate cultural, economic and political differences.

Graduating in the top decile of his class, David earned a Bachelor of Science with High Distinction in management from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts in 1988.
